Meet the author

Susan Mimram has spent most of her working life as a graphic designer and technical illustrator but she has always been a storyteller. However it was not until her father was diagnosed with a terminal illness that she discovered a love of writing. As she puts it, telling her father this story had shades of a modern Arabian Nights. Three weeks before his death she completed the story and had the first draft bound. She gave it to him as a gift but it was more his gift to her. By encouraging her to write, he had taught her the power of imagination.

Susan grew up in New Zealand but has lived in Sydney most of her adult life. Someone’s Listening is her first novel.
